"I want to first give all glory to God. When you're a child, you could never expect to go through so much temptation-to the point where sin takes over your life. Leading you to destroy meaningful relationships, family, and friends. Sin takes you down roads of homelessness and starvation. Living in cold weather storms and eating from places you never imagined. Leaving you to beg for food, clothing, and water. Through the ministries of God's Ranch and Joshua House in San Clemente, I was able to find the help I needed to get sober and on the right track through biblical principles. Because of Joshua House, I was able to receive a Christian foundation to succeed on my journey. Joshua House treats you with love, dignity, and respect, taking time to work with your individual needs. Because of the grace and mercy of God, I can walk with my head held high. " I am blessed to say that I graduated from Joshua House in 2017. When I first arrived at 19 years old, I was spiritually, mentally, and physically bankrupt from a bondage to drugs and alcohol. I didn't know how I was gonna stay sober. Early on, through the mentorship and support from Pastor Jim, I learned that I didn't have a drug problem... I had a God problem. Joshua House's faithful ministering and adherence to the gospel of Jesus Christ gave me hope. "Hello, my name is Sye and I’m 49 years old. I came to Joshua House June 2, 2023. I have been involved in Bible studies, 12 step meetings and one on one meetings with Gabriel Mejia, a staff member. He is a brother who has put so much love into me and taught me about Jesus. Joshua House has helped me to learn how to be kind, caring, trustworthy, loving and understanding. "My name is Jose and unfortunately I started using at a young age. It started with weed and alcohol. It then progressed to using meth, which lead to over a 30 year addiction. It caused me to lose my 1st and 2nd marriages. I tried stopping several times but my urges were just too strong. It was not easy to stop. It was when I hit rock bottom. I was homeless and went to Gods Ranch. From there I made the decision to go to Joshua House in San Clemente led by Pastor Jim Glynn. This program saved my life.
